Top of the World Store sits at 9400 FT. along the 69 mile scenic Beartooth Highway (US 212) 38 miles from Red Lodge MT. and 25 miles from Cooke City MT. which is 6 miles from the Northeast entrance to Yellowstone National Park. This stretch of the highway is open from Memorial Day to Columbus Day, "Americas most beautiful roadway" by Charles Kuralt of CBS news. The store was built in 1923 on Beartooth Lake and moved to its present location in the early "60s". Located on the Shoshone National Forest, with ample amounts of camping, hiking,

4 wheeling, and fishing opportunities through the summer season. When the highway closes the opportunities change to ice fishing, snowmobiling (some years through May) X-country skiing, snow shoeing, and snow boarding.
